I rescued a deck of custom initialed “TLW” cards that my someone acquired for my sister, Tammy. She died of cancer in 1975 when I was 7-years old.

Just having something that she touched, that she played with, is a soothing memory. She probably played a lot of solitaire while getting treated in various hospitals.

There are cards missing, some of the jokers replacing the Jack of clubs and the 5 of spades.

There’s a tactile feel of the cards and a mustly smell when fanned out under my nose. Is that a hint of her smell after 50 years?
